Stornoway, the main town of The Western Isles. A lovely harbour full of pretty boats, a castle, lovely local shops, a theatre. Stornoway Black Pudding and Stornoway Smoked Kippers. What more can you want!

Stornoway, named by the visting Vikings as "Steering Bay" which, when phonetically translated, became the name Stornoway. There are traditional businesses, fishing, Harris Tweed and farming. Tourism now plays quite a part of the life in Stornoway. The harbour toady is stillo quite busy with freight, ferries and leisure traffic and boats, as well as a significant fishing fleet.
