Dolphins - Hebrides Marine Wildlife Sightings
The common dolphin has a distinctive creamy yellow hourglass pattern along the sides, with a dark grey back, tail and flippers and a cream coloured belly. They typically live from twenty to thirty years. In the lovely clean waters surrounding the Western Isles, the dolphins are summer visitors. The common dolphins can travel great distances in a very short time.
