The River Creed

Stornoway Castle Grounds
The Castle Grounds are just stunning - so many different scenes - the beautiful Castle - the River Creed - the views of the Stornoway Harbour - birds like curlews, grey herons, cormorants, shags and many more- wildflowers - monuments - seats carved out of logs - and creative benches. Walk along the River Creed - and on up through the trees and moorland - or walk by the coast looking back at the magnificent Stornoway Harbour. The Stornoway castle of course takes pride of place - looking down on the town. What more could you wish for? |

This lovely airy building doubles as both a cafe and also houses various exhibitions throughout the year |
You just stumble upon this great chair or seat that has been carved from the tree logs. |
