Garry Beach - this lovely beach with huge rock stacks and lovely caves - set beneath lovely moorland clifftops - where birds, butterflies and rabbits abound. The caves really are interesting.

The Magpie Moth is a day-flying species which is therefore often taken for a butterfly.  It has a strange ecology, the larvae feed in the Highlands on heather
 

These beautiful water lilies wild just for all to see - these were at Garry - Tolsta - Western Isles Jun 2009. These flowers used to be used in making the dye for the famous Harris Tweed.

 

Quite a splendid sight - this craft travelling initially at speed - they slowed down and gave us a wave - Garry July 2009
