Scarista Picnic Area - Isle of Harris - Western Isle Photos

The Sgarastadh Mhor Picnic area on the west coast of Harris in The Outer Hebrides is perhaps one of the nicest viewpoints to see it all! This picnic area and walkway was built in honour of the original Sgarastadh Mhor crofters You can look across to the panoramic vista of the Harris Hills and Luskentyre opposite and also toward the uninhabited island of Taransay (used in the famous TV series " The Castaways).
