Uig Sands - Ardroil - Isle of Lewis

Uig Beach on the south western side of the Isle of Lewis is one of the largest beach areas. With its stretches of Atlantic coast bordered by windswept shifting sand dunes and rich machair grasses it is stunning. Ardroil Sands and Uig beach are a popular spot for kiteboarding and windsurfing. A vast expanse of flat sand surrounded by sand dunes. The sands are best reached from the south and are signposted Ardroil Beach
