A beetle actually quite near the sea - on the beach at Traigh Mhor - Tolsta - Isle of Lewis - Western Isles. This gruesome lovely beetle is Nicrophorus (Necrophorus) vespilloides commonly called the Burying Beetle or Sexton Beetle.
