Although not actually an Island itself, it is usually referred to as "The Isle of Harris", it is the southern and most mountaineuous are of Lewis and Harris the largest Island of The Outer Hebrides
This lovely bay has a fantastic viewing point for watching seals and even otters if you are lucky - just straight from the jetty - Western Isles wildlife! The way the light casts it's shadows on the lovely bay, lighting up the surrounding yellowy moorland means that you cant help but get lovely photos. ......
Snug in the valley where North and South Harris meet, lovely mountain peaks behind sits Tarbert. The harbour is the ferry terminal. The name means "isthmus", "crossing point" in Gaelic and the ferries travel to and from Uig on Skye. A new pier was built in 1800's.....
