Hebridean Cattle
Highland cattle are a breed of Cows that have long horns and a wavy coat. Breeding stock has been transported from the Western Isles to the rest of the world, especially Australia and North America. The breed was developed from two sets of stock, one originally black, and the other reddish. The Highland cattle are extremely hardy - and can withstand the high winds that prevail here on the Islands.
